Early life and career
Nicky Byrne was born in Dublin, Ireland, on October 9, 1978. He began his music career in the late 1990s as a member of the Irish boy band Westlife. The band released their debut album in 1999 and went on to achieve international success, selling over 45 million records worldwide.
Westlife
Westlife was one of the most successful boy bands of all time. They released 14 studio albums, 11 of which reached number one in the UK. The band also had 26 top-ten singles in the UK, including "Swear It Again," "Flying Without Wings," and "You Raise Me Up."
Solo career
Byrne left Westlife in 2004 to pursue a solo career. He released his debut solo album, "Sunlight," in 2006. The album was a commercial success, reaching number one in Ireland and the top ten in the UK. Byrne has since released two more solo albums, "Horizon" (2009) and "Eclipse" (2016).
Television career
In addition to his music career, Byrne has also worked as a television presenter. He has hosted several shows on Irish television, including "The Late Late Show" and "Dancing with the Stars." He has also appeared as a judge on the UK version of "The X Factor."
Personal life
Byrne is married to Georgina Ahern, the daughter of former Irish Taoiseach Bertie Ahern. They have three children together. Byrne is a supporter of several charities, including the Irish Cancer Society and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
