ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Kyle Shanahan walked onto the field with an emphatic nod, believing his San Francisco 49ers had finally exorcised their demons in Dallas.

George Kittle bobbed his head in agreement.

"We proved we can come out here and beat them," Kittle said.

Christian McCaffrey scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter and San Francisco's defense held Dallas to 10 points as the 49ers routed the Cowboys 42-10 on Sunday night to improve 5-0.
